Ezkurdi, Beekeeping Home-Museum

The traditional beekeeping house in Ezkurdi offers the chance to get to know the fascinating world of bees and the art of beekeeping. This interesting tour visits the laboratory where the quality of the honey is analysed; an explanation is also given of the life of the bees in the hives and how they produce honey together with a demonstration of how the beekeeper removes and decants the honey. There is also a beekeeping exhibition displaying apicultural methods throughout the ages. The house, which is built in the traditional style of the picturesque Ultzama Valley, provides a magnificent setting.

Sale of products made by the beekeeper: honey with the aroma of rosemary, thyme, lavender, heather or wild mountain flowers; jams; chocolates, royal jelly, creams, candles and other products produced from beeswax.
